Encounter 3
This painting is the 3rd piece of my "Encounter" series. The main character of this series is a bachelor in his early fifties. As I started working on the gentleman's characteristic and the more I was thinking about how I should shape his fate in my story, I became more and more fond of him. Later I realized an inexplicable feeling of déja vu when I was painting him. And from that second, I was no longer in control of the events on the canvas.
Here on the third part, we can witness the moment when the gentleman accidentally bumps into the lady and they first look into each other's eyes... The curiosity of this painting is that first I planned to use only abstract elements to totally match it to the first two pieces, but later I decided to reveal the faces of my lovely characters so I repainted the focal point of this picture.
