Hudson and the city

Even in your darkest days you should be strong, because things will get better. It might be stormy now, but it can't rain forever. This abstract Manhattan painting is based on a reference photo I took from a boat in October 2019.

This painting won the BEST IN SHOW Award at The Gateway International Painting competition for March 2020.
Judge and Category: Elizabeth Fontaine-Barr, Abstract Professional
Judge's Comment: "This abstract painting has an intriguing quality. The artist has the talent to paint the rain in such a way that a deeper look is needed to discover the cityscape and soft clouds in the background. It is a very well orchestrated composition and use of a limited palette that truly holds the viewer engaged."
